Rasbora elegans (Two-spot Rasbora, Elegant Rasbora) is mainly a surface dweller of clear, forest streams. It is fast and active, constantly searching for insects and other prey, and can found in mixed shoals with other rasboras and barbs.

The body shape is laterally compressed and slender, and the dorsal colour generally pale gold. Most specimens have a dark spot in the centre of the body, just below a faint lateral line, and another at the base of the tail. In others, however, the spots can be quite faint.

Rasbora elegans occurs in Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Borneo and Sumatra.
