Sighting Details :

Date : December 2006
Location :
Western Province, PNG
Elevation : 600 metres
Size (snout-to-vent) : Approx 30 mm
Call : loud, machine-gun burst of 8-10 notes, lasting around 2 seconds : 'eh-eh-eh-eh' etc.
Habitat : Calling from perch on fallen tree, 1.8 metres from ground, at forest edge.

Figure 2 : Lake Kutubu, Southern Highlands Province. Asterophrys slateri is common in the area, which is located 825 metres above sea level.
